December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29–FRIDAY OPEN STUDIO

This “no host” studio is for artists of all mediums. Spend the afternoon in our brightly lit classroom with the benefit of good company and a pleasant place to work. Make a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy our extensive Lending Library and the Enid  Joy Mount Gallery for inspiration. Open 1:00-4:00pm every Friday. !Free to members. $3/day or $10/month for non-members. No registration required.


December 2

The Artistsʼ Reception for “FIRE and ICEʼ will be held from 2:00-4:00 on Saturday afternoon. This beautiful show will brighten up the KAA Gallery in a couple of ways: A snowfall can light up a room, ice sparkles in candlelight, your fireplace will light up, and warm up your room! Entries of many mediums depicting fire and/or ice may be shown. Meet the artists, mingle with the guests and hosts, sample the refreshments and enjoy a lovely show with lots of awards.

December 6, 13, 20, 27-WATERCOLOR WEDNESDAYS taught by STEVE KLEIER

This December Steve will continue with City Scenes. Buildings and people offer something for every level of artist. For the beginner there is the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of color mixing and brushwork without a lot of complicated drawing. The intermediate or advanced student will gain more understanding of how to depict the many subtleties of a scene. These lessons are a great way to establish some good habits. Steve creates a relaxed and interesting atmosphere and has a great knowledge of art history and techniques. Steve has been a commercial and fine artist for more than 30 years and his art expertise is unending. December 7, 14-WATERCOLOR with PEN and INK taught by award winning artist ANGELA WRAHTZ

In December Angie will be !teaching “Emotional Atmospheric Landscapes”. All levels of watercolor painters are invited to join this class. No experience is needed to be a part of this project-based class with projects provided or you can bring your own. There are lots of demonstrations of techniques, resources and step-by-step instruction. Angie will bring everything you need to complete projects including professional grade paper and paint for use in class. Please bring your own brushes. *Please sign up at least one week ahead for these classes so the instructors can prepare for the correct number of students. Ages 14 and above can register for adult classes.

** Refunds will be given to students if a class is cancelled. If a student registers and pays for a class and cannot attend we will gladly forward your payment to a future class.
