June 7, 14-DRAWING CLASS and PAINTING CLASS combined taught by STEVE KLEIER

“Some people want to draw for its own sake, others to improve their painting. This class is good for both because you will learn principles of drawing that can be used on their own orapplied to painting. Join me this June for emphasis on Travel Sketching and Painting. We cover a variety of subjects and always include useful information about drawing. If it is landscapes, city scenes, figures or whatever I’m sure you will gain a greater understanding of how to look at the subject like an artist. Join me for fun and learning.” Steve sends out an email with reference photos before each class. Supply List: Sketchbook, drawing pencils, (about a 6b), kneaded eraser, medium hardness charcoal, a good size newsprint pad, drawing board and clips. All media (Oils, Watercolor, Acrylic) welcome. Sepha will share her 3-D mixed media process for you to create your own Whimsical Alien to hang on your wall!  All materials included except your Brush! Be on the look out for an old house paint brush, or pick up a ‘chip’ at the hardware store! Bring your lunch to eat during break while your clay is drying a bit. KAA has a refrigerator, coffee, tea, and cookies waiting for you. You may choose to eat in the classroom or outside in the gazebo and enjoy the summer weather. Saturday, 10:00-3:00.* $55 for the class and $10 material fee to the artist. Bring your own brush!! Register here.
