Keizer Art Association’s February gallery show is dedicated to photography – it is KAA’s Annual Photography Show. This show is open to all Oregon artists. Entries may be color, black and white or a mixed media piece that uses photography as the primary medium. Keizer Art Association reserves the right to jury submitted art for suitability and as space limitations mandate. Please refer to guidelines further details. Each piece entered must have the artist’s name, telephone number, medium and the name of the piece on a card that is affixed to the back of the art.
Guidelines
•All images must be original and may not include elements produced by anyone else.
•The original image(s) must have been made by the entrant on film or acquired with a digital camera. Processing and printing may be done commercially or by the entrant.
•Color and Monochrome prints will be judged separately. A monochrome print toned in a single color will be judged as Monochrome. Hand colored prints and those with more than one color added will be judged in the Color Division.
•Wall art must have a sturdy wire on the back to facilitate hanging in the gallery and must not exceed 48” X 48”. Unframed wall art should have edges that are suitably finished (no visible staples, jagged edges, etc.).
•A maximum of 2 prints may be entered in any combination of color prints and/or monochrome (B&W).
•Artwork exhibited in this gallery within the past two years is not acceptable.
Awards
•This exhibit is juried and ribbons will be awarded in the divisions of color, black and white, and mixed media. There will be first, second, third place and jury merit award in each division. The decision of judges is final.
Entry Fees
•Members: $10 for first piece; $15 for two pieces; $15 for diptychs and triptychs (a single work of art displayed on two or three panels)
•Non-Members: $15 for first piece; $20 for two pieces; $20 for diptychs and triptychs
•Youth: $5 for up to two pieces. This division is open to all youths (high school and younger).
Important Dates to Remember
Delivery of art: Wednesday, February 1, between 3 PM and 7 PM at Enid Joy Mount Gallery
Pick Up of art: Wednesday, February 29, between 3 PM and 7 PM
Reception: The opening reception for family, friends and the public is Saturday February 4, 2 PM to 4 PM. Artists whose art is exhibited at this show are asked to be present so that the public can meet the artist and discuss the inspiration for, and the process utilized, to make the piece(s).
