Artists In Action presents 12th Annual “Paint The Town”: Artists to Paint on Location
Artists from Salem and the mid-Willamette Valley are invited to paint outdoors “en plein air” at various unique and picturesque locations in and around Salem during May, June, July and August. Locations: May 27, Martha Springer Botanical Garden at Willamette University; June 2, Downtown Salem; June 19, Salem Saturday Market and Capitol grounds; June 26, World Beat Festival; July 11, Cubanisimo Vineyards; July 17, Salem Art Fair; July 24, Daffodil Hill; July 26, Baskett Slough Wildlife Refuge; July 28, Oregon Gardens; July 29, Historic Deepwood Estate; August 3, Independence Riverview Park. Fee: $20 covers participation in all locations and entry into the juried exhibit at the Elsinore Gallery, Elsinore Gallery, 444 Ferry St. SE, Salem, September 1 to 25. Paint The Town is presented by Artists In Action, a local non-profit group of diverse artists. The mission of Paint The Town is to raise awareness of the arts and artists in the Salem area, to present an opportunity to observe artists creating, and to offer artists an organized event where they can create art outdoors with an exhibit opportunity.
