February Classes & Workshops
FRIDAY OPEN STUDIO
February 3, 10, 17, 25
Time: 1:00-4:00pm every Friday
Cost: Free to members; $3/day or $10/month for non-members.
This “no host” studio is for artists of all mediums. Spend the afternoon in our brightly lit classroom with the benefit of good company and a pleasant place to work. Make a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy our extensive Lending Library and the Enid Joy Mount Gallery for inspiration.

WOODCARVING
February 6, 13, 20
Instructor: taught by Master Woodcarver DAVE DISSELBRETT
Time: Monday evenings, 7:00-9:00pm
Cost: $15/3 classes.
What does February bring in Dave’s popular class? This month’s project is “Fish” with no license necessary, no messy worms, no pointy hooks, no water, no boat, no hip waders, and no registration required for this class. Just drop in and take a seat next to a fellow carver.

WOODCARVING WORKSHOP
February 12

Time: Sunday, 9:00-3:00
Cost: $15 for the day
This month’s workshop project is “Fish” and includes various varieties to choose to carve: long, short, spotted, striped, cute, funny, and even realistic! To see Dave’s carvings, visit Gallery K at Keizer Art Association. All are different, unique and lovable. Bring a lunch and make yourself a cup of coffee or tea in the kitchenette in the classroom. Carve the day away with a relaxed group of woodcarvers. No registration necessary.

SOFT PASTELS CLASS
February 18
Instructor: DEANNA WHITE
Time: Saturday, 11:30-4:30
Cost: $40*
Spend the day trying “soft” pastels. You will learn about various strokes, surfaces, “fixing”, and then work on a painting. Deanna will have photos and outlines to work from. You will use colored Mi-Teintes paper, sanded paper and do an under painting on watercolor paper. The instructor will supply: acrylics, soft pastels, transfer paper and Mi-Teintes paper. She will also have a limited amount of sanded paper to purchase in class.
