I am new to Salem, but not the Northwest, where I have painted and exhibited for the last 30 years. Acrylic, soft pastels and oil pastels are my favorite mediums. The environment and nature have been my primary inspirations. My work after college consisted of work in advertising/design firms, until I decided in 1992 to paint full-time.
Art in Embassies US State Dept. exhibited my work in our embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I've also exhibited in Flintshire Castle in Wales, Westminster Galleries, London, and the Pastel Society of America's West Coast show in San Francisco, as well as National Acrylics Painters Association's International Exhibition in New Orleans where I received the Winsor and Newton award. I've also appeared on Art Beat on OPB.
