I was mayor of Keizer for 14 years. During that time I was always interested in and followed the good works of Keizer Art Association. It was my joy when my time as mayor was finished and I could become more involved with the organization personally.

I love the mission of providing an art space and art education for local artists of varying abilities . I am now one of those artists.

I just finished my first two paintings (of my dogs). Hopefully they will serve as a placeholder for my “painting second act”. I hope to continue to learn and improve now that I am retired and have the time

I have also enjoyed photography throughout the years. I’ve taken a few classes through Chemeketa Community College and I intend to continue to take classes and learn more as I love that art form, as well.

My motto has always been “Art is everywhere” and so it is! Whether you’re an accomplished artist or just beginning, you can certainly appreciate the art that is everywhere.
